7 Days wildlife, Gorilla, Golden monkey and Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda

Have an early breakfast and get briefing on the dos and donts  and then go tracking which will last 3 to 4 hours  then return to hotel for lunch and embark on the Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. OPTIONAL; you can choose to visit the Batwa pygmies’ community; who live in the forest; they are known to be the first inhabitants of the impenetrable forest before they were resettled from inside the park. You will have a close contact with them and they will perform their traditional dances and songs; and there after you shall head back to hotel for dinner and relaxation. Have an early morning breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the hotel to check out and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth and have an OPTIONAL evening game drive.  Accommodation: Queen Elizabeth Safari Lodge (Moderate Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early breakfast, head for a game drive in search of animals like elephants, buffalos, lions, leopard and more. This is the most bio-diverse park yet not the biggest with a mammal checklist of 95 species and 610 species of birds and much more. Exit the park via Ishasha in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, famous for its tree climbing lions. Then head to Kibale National park. Accommodation: Kibale Forest Lodge (moderate Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ post where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger guide will take you chimp tracking (Kibale Forest) and you will be left amazed by the presence of primates here. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence. You will return to the lodge for lunch and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park.   Accommodation:  Kibale Forest Lodge (moderate Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Have your breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park and be on the look for wildlife including: lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return from the activity and have a sumptuous lunch after which you assemble at Paraa Jetty for a thrilling afternoon Nile launch cruise departing at 14:00 hours heading for the bottom of the waterfalls. The stretch to the bottom of the falls and the eventual visit at the top of the falls(OPTIONAL) soon exposes you to the thunderous roar of the waters of the Nile; arguably the longest river in the world where it squeezes itself to penetrate through a less than 8m gorge. Retire from this rather interesting 3 hour activity for relaxation, dinner and overnight at your residence. Accommodation:  Parkside Safari (moderate Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Embark on the journey to Mabamba swamp.  which is approximately 10 minutes to cross on a ferry from Entebbe and then drive 20 minutes to Mabamba. While on a wooden boat, you are sure to have a site of the famous shoe bill which is the most sought after bird in Uganda among many other bird species like African jacana, African fish eagle, pied king fisher etcetera. Optional: if time allows, you can go for a nature walk at Entebbe botanical gardens for the evening where you will cite a number of bird species and also enjoy the greenery and nature and then head to the hotel for relaxation and prepare to depart the next morning.
